It's a kill for the winner. You'll get whatever abilities count on death like certain dk/qthings... You will win challenges, cabal combat, any bounties... it's like normal. Also, to my knowledge, you can't be killed with deathstrike. Only stunned. That is, the blms opponent can't be killed. The blm will die. 
From my understanding the blademaster stabs through themself into their opponent taking their own life, but they still die and their opponent still gets the credit for the kill.
Ahhh I see thanks both of you very helpful, kinda dumb Ive had blademasters at 50 and never knew.
