Let me put this as delicately as I can...
You knowing where specific pieces of eq can be found has jack to do with whether or not a veteran player can smash you into the ground. We can do this because we've been playing this game for nearly a decade, we know the ins and outs of most areas instinctively, we know the classes, we know the skills, and we know what is effective to use when. We know when to avoid a fight, and we know when it is perfect for us to pick one. We know what moves not to make, and we know how to capitalize on your mistakes.
I don't NEED to keep EQ locations and the like secret to skew a power balance. The power balance is already in my favor just fine, because I've been here a VERY long time and that experience serves me well. However, I follow and support the rules regarding keeping EQ locations secret on the forum because I agree with the already-explained rationale behind it.
