We did have a demon invoker - and I think they had their fireball spell taken.
The demon monk had their con set to 8.
Undead ranger wasn't allowed any pets, herbs and so on. Think warrior with camo.

Minus any version of lag (unless you pick tracker...at which point the lag is meh at best), warrior lores, riposte... As a former undead ranger wannabe... I'm gonna say unless you just deep down want to RP that particular combo for whatever reason, I wouldn't suggest it as a PK powerhouse.
I can't pinpoint a specific reason demons cannot be invokers...maybe the forces of nature don't respond to their extraplanar nature?

Can't tell you why...it's classified...even I don't know...I've never played a demon...not sure I can RP that craziness.

PS - yes, you are quite right. Undead ranger is never going to be a powerhouse combo...
The idea is not to get qraces/qclasses because it might be a powerhouse combo. You should want it because of your roleplay. The powerhouse combo search is what turns games into counterstrike deadbeats.
Not rolling power combos is likely to turn your character into a deadbeat.

with conflagrant, i was only allowed to keep my fire spells, as the name implied. also a few basic spells like detect invis and so on.

You can camouflage something very large, like a tank. Hard to hide something large in plain sight in a city.
Moving the tank around is completely another story...
verch / korropant was not a huge stinky beast and I got approved in a week from app submission.
Armagoth took about a week and a half. Then I fluffed the quest and it took another 2 and a half weeks to get a second shot.
My experiences show demons taking about a week of active, good RP. Lich took me about a month of consistent RP after I submitted my app.
