Did they always not get this? I could have swore I played a BMG before and he had second attack.

Unfortunately they've never had second attack for as long as I can remember. And I've played a lot of battlemages.
One of the bmage spells allows you to do two melee attacks. However, bmage do not get the 'second attack' skill per se.

shrugs I agree that haste's effects don't need to be hidden, and I don't think they actually are.
Meh, whilst I figured it was a question more about bmg melee than training weapons and the like I still contend that it's kinda silly to need rephrasing.

Plague. Poison. Energy drain. Curse. Bash?
Wrong. Plague and poison are those spells that stop regen. Curse is that tactic you use on someone who escaped you because they recalled. Bash is the answer to thieves. See where I'm going with this? 
Poison and plague stops moves regen, and curse prevents them from recalling. Very important while chasing. A lot of people can run while blinded, but no one can run without moves.

I'll just say it again before it turns into any sort of debate. I think it's quite reasonable to just say the name of the spell/skill instead of trying to shroud it in mystery and keep people in the dark as possible. I really have no investment in arguing about what a dk uses to chase with. It was a tangential example. That was all.
