What should they contain? Characer History? Should they just describe what you are applying for? I've never really had that explained to me. I just kind of winged it with Ghar (better known as Xhan) when I applied to be an evil mino. But then, one can never be sure that my application actually influenced my being outcast. So I would like to know, for future reference, how do I make a proper application?
Applications
Depending on what it's an application for, it'll vary. Qrace/class applications have pretty easy guidelines to follow in the helpfiles. I'd even go as far as to say use those for custom combos (unusual race/class/align). Just state your history, goals, and why you want it (or "already have it.")

As far as applications go, it depends on what you are going for as mentioned before. WC gave you some decent links to check out as well. Basically if you are trying for an alignment change, you need to let them know what makes you different then the rest of that race, a good explanation of why I think is also important. For instance, I played Ixivilik, a neutral drow battlemage. His story was that he was raised in a tower far off from the main land, untouched by Lloth's hand and thus was raised as an intelligent being, hateful of Lloth's dark weavings. Ultimately I was hoping to do more with the rp plot of it, but due to my anger/not paying attention, I killed him off in gear. If it is for a qrace/class, just write a history, or simply why you deserve it, and rp out the role.
