Hey folks,
Seeing as how the written essays for each class were a huge help in beginning to understand a class for a new player like myself, I'm a bit bummed that there isn't one written for bards. After looking through the bard skill set I'm confused as how they're used effectively. I rarely see a Bard around and haven't had the pleasure in being able to group with any. Could someone please give me a general rundown on the playstyle of a Bard? Thanks in advance.
While I could give advice and a theoretical rundown of abilities, I haven't played a bard at 50 and PKed.

I played a caballed rank 50 bard quite recently, and I learned a fair bit about the class from him.

He was Jarl, a dwarf Watcher, wasn't around for all that long though. I got very busy with Uni exams right in the middle of his life.
Jarl was quite strong indeed. I remember him beating my warmaster halfling BLM 
I remember reading an old bard mini-essay a long while back. It was called "how to make friends with everyone" or something like that. It was very funny.

Not to mention the 1903132313 power house druids I've played 
Dont get me wrong, my druids ROCK but its not exactly top of the food chain for power is it?
That just depends. A druid can be a nasty nasty person to fight.
But agreed, not really a power combo because other classes can be nastier with more ease.
