Just a quick newbie noob question.

how do you RP around, logging on and off.

where does your character go when you log, does he go to other areas unknown, or does she/he/it say they're going to sleep in the inn and then just log off standing up in the woods/city somewhere.

I also get confused by deaths

"I was killed, but here I stand before you,"

"I was killed mutliple times, but here I stand before you"

or do you say something like, my god gave me another chance at life to

do what I was born to do, eh..

thoughts? Mya?

Whenever my character logs off, he's "on the toilet".

"I will be around..."

"My mother needs food, I will be gone a few weeks."

"Until you next call on me, I will be at the altar"

"Gettin' a beer."

It all depends on my character, actually. A lot of them will use the standard you mentioned of "my god gave me another chance", but I like to work it around my RP and try to spice it up when I can. For example, my Hive Illithids said that they needed to return to the Hive for regeneration/modification for logoff, and that their consciousness was telepathically transferred to a new drone of the same model activated upon the death of the previous (think Cylons, for BSG fans... though I first used this before I ever saw the show).

Basically, it's up the limits of your imagination.

Haha, classic deuce remark. I generally say I'm going to rest when logging, and if I die (I'm usually a tree hugger) I say Gaia granted me another chance to protect her.

Sirant always said, "I say nothing.", but that was for when he was leaving the party for an afk. I'm sure he would have said something along the lines of "you can always find and RP reason to leave a hunting party."

Cabals have the alarm when they're trounced, why wouldn't a Elf Paladin, third heir to the throne of Malankist who wears a suit of armour so shiny and bright, that all the mithril mines have nothing on it? Or, if you're a human thief, why would you need to explain why you're leaving, "Why? Why?! Believe me, you really don't wanna know... I'm not sure I even do..." When I have to go afk, I sometimes talk about headaches. Other times, I just D/C and let it take it's course. If I was gonna go afk, it's the same as D/Cing, and there is already a hard coded rp for Disconnects (snaps back into his/her/their mind).
