I'm tassinvegeta and I need some newbie help. What's the point of blessing weapons. And does the bless from cabal services and clerics differ at all?
Blessing weapons
From what I can tell, blessing (clerical blessing) a weapon or shield increases your spells saves, makes them harder to disarm and increases their effectiveness.
I might be terribly wrong though.

You can't talk about specifics, but I think its ok to say somethings. Cleric bless does different things with different religions. Want to know what they all are? Roll up a cleric of each type and play it to pinn
There are some 'hidden' things in the code, which aren't to be discussed, but I remember one IMP or another saying that they are there, and they are definitely worth it it.
Yes, it's beneficial to have a blessed weapon.
No, I won't tell you why.
By the way guys, this is one of the nuggets which even I don't know much about, so don't feel excluded I know the effects of one or two blesses, but that's it. Explore and find out!
Thanks for all the info guys. I had thought blessings were common knowledge, it's nice to know others are in the same boat as me.
Um... are there any negative effects to bless? Because I think I have just realised something might be wrong with my cleric since I started blessing weapons/shields.
Anything happening in game that seems bugged or not working in a way that it should you should log and ask about on the Prayer Forum.
A Clerics should always have their ARMs blessed. Always.
With the single exception of a Death Cleric vs specific enemies.
You will know why if you have one.
