Been awhile since I tried my hand at building. But I had an idea that popped up recently. I need some advice on a decent building program to use, preferably one that's compatible with Vista.
Also, some tips on balancing mobs and equipment would be helpful (less so with the equip as I have more of a handle on that, especially as I'm thinking about submitting something to replace a stock area). Any help please?
I've never liked building programs. They never seem to work, and even more (even less?) so with a MUD like FL where they have tons of custom things to take into account. So, I've just used OLC or notepad.
I'd be surprised if OLC or notepad were compatible with VISTA, and I feel it is a steaming pile of horse phooey.

Not sure what you have in mind when you say building program. Use notepad.
I prefer emacs to notepad. Automatic tabs are the sweetzor.
notepad is compatible with vista..we'll see about OLC. guess it's time to fire up the old txt documents and start cracking.
now...to find all my old instruction files so that I can remember how to do some of this stuff.
