I can't count the number of times I've snagged one backstab kills on ferals at rank thirty with two fiery daggers :} I'd have to agree with the slender lightning spear though.

The one time I picked that I was was like what the hell is this. Then I loved it. Didnt know if it was rare or a quest item or what so I didnt say it.
Blonkeywan is crap, not even magic damage.
The sharp glaive is not the best non rare Polearm around. There is the Blessed Pike wich is quite good, and the other my elfs cannot use and no one uses

But for me the best weapon has to be the Dragon Slayer, a non drop high damage exotic. Its a pity invocker can blow them.
The Ethereal Dark Knight blade is also a very nice sword.

The sharp glaive does adds wrath damage while the one non-elf polearm doesn't(even though it does more damage). Not sure if wrath damage is worth it though...

As far as polearms go, for Paladins, blessed pike > sharp glaive for re-equipping. Blessed pike and sharp glaive share identical raw damage (though not hit/dam stats) with sharp glaive doing wrath damage - however, the mob that holds the blessed pike can be summoned and the pike can be requested - means you don't have to come out of ghosting.
I quoted you here even though you weren't talking about the blessed pike, you were talking about the other one that Elves can't use.

I'm a big fan of the rusty blade. No-disarm magic damage sword. Dual yourself a whispering battle axe, no-drop magic damage axe and you got a set to work with. Also, Hell-blade and Hell-spear are good to go, if you can grab them early enough.
I just remembered the best one: Holy Avenger, hands down. You can disarm it from diana at twenty five fairly easily, and it's a great weapon.

Clariana promptly asked wtf I was doing and proceded to kill me endlessly. Quite fun considering I refused a name change and told him that it was all in fun and games. We had quit the time devising new ways to punish the idiot I was.

The smoking flail - I carry it on all giant sized chars. Great, great weapon...
Icicles, firey daggers and lightning spears make great +hit+dam weapons if you're looking to trade to something else soon and just need to 'convince' someone it should be yours :-D
