Not a single one of those situations has a "You have been KILLED!" line flash by for them. Unlike the situation above.
If you do not end up at your pit. You didn't die.
Same thing with the arena, you don't actually take a death.

Lower level characters have a much harder time fighting raiders than higher level characters. You ever try fighting an Elemental at an early lvl? Those bastards take forever to kill and if you don't rest right away and attack another and don't flee in time that could happen.
