Maybe its just me, but does anyone notice that cards seem to do waaaaay more damage than daggers. Maybe im missing something simple, like rereading what edge says or something like that. I have played a bard and played a theif of equal level, the theif being the more combat oriented race, and the bard outdamaged the theif with throwing. It wasnt even close. Edge/throw were mastered on both. Help me out with this.
Cards vs. Daggers
because a bard can throw more cards than a thief can throw daggers. Bards however do not get doublesheath so no throwing on murder/flee (thank god)
Bards and ninja throw multiple cards/shurikens, thieves only one dagger. That's why. But thief daggers have certain other affects that cards/shurikens do not.
Because it's a little known fact that all FL bards are related to Gambit, that's why.

I would argue that the thief is NOT the more combat oriented CLASS of the two, to be quite honest.

He said combat oriented race.

LOL! Gambit was definitely the best of the bunch.
Yeah, combat oriented race. I guess that makes sense though. Double sheath can be a killer.
I assumed it was a typo, though if memory serves you played a gnome bard, so I guess it does make sense. Though I seriously doubt race would affect your throw damage.
Those papercuts CAN do a lot of damage though..........
Grish: I assumed he was thinking that perhaps str played a part in throw damage.

I wish bard cards exploded...

Well, Gambit was overpowered, so he got toned and revamped into the first ever bard.
I have seen:
=== DISINTEGRATE ===
ANNIHILATE <<<
from bards, i think is prety powerfull.
Unspeak with a vuln card against a feral.
Those papercuts CAN do a lot of damage though..........
I actually made paper cards one time, I thought I was going to die laughing, I edge a kick face scroll just to get paper cards, what the hell has a paper vuln? Isadora?
Edge a Holy Symbol of Yaeger sometime. You get " , cards" or something to that effect.
Out of curiosity, how do shuriken stack up against cards?
Shurikens, daggers, and cards all used to be around the same strength, but shurikens and daggers were toned because ninjas and thieves get autothrow if they have an open doublesheath spot. Bards don't get autothrow, so their cards remained the same strength.
ah the , cards. Bane of all things gramatically incorrect.
I, personally, am a fan of the null cards.
Antimatter for the one!
