I was wondering what the Pbases thoughts are on the benefits/disadvantages of the various race availble to the Bard class. Anyone out there with some experience that can chime in? I was thinking of trying out the bard class myself...

halfling or dwarf
Avian would be good, Faerie are good, Elf if you are a real pansy 
I can see Avian and maybe Elf, but how would Faerie be at all good? No protection from bashing, supremely weak melee...ugh.
They are survivable. Cant be faerie fired or fogged so hide really works well. Also a TON of mana with autosneak and autofly. I played one, deleted cuz I messed up my rp, but they are good.
edit: Also, the high int means one prac for all skills/spells/songs, leaving you with quite a few trains to dump into hp. Of course you are not going to be a REAL threat, but a faerie bard would make a great Herald
Im thinking dwarf would be the best.
It really depends on how you plan to play it. Dwarves are good, but I like halflings for their magic resistance and dex.
You know, I always seem to notice magic resistance more in dwarves than in halflings. I'm not saying they don't have equal amounts, I'm just...well, sayin'.
