Cabal applications

I have a char at 50 and am unsure when to send the cabal app.

I read something about waiting till you are T in a clan and waiting until it says Send a cabal application on score (got that from quite an old post searching on this forum).

Just need some verification thanks.

Can't send it until an imm approves you...you'll get a message during the game and it is also displayed in your score.

Yeah, when you log in, you'll get a message in green saying, "You've been given the chance to apply to your chosen Cabal!" or something like that, and it will give you an indicator in your score of how many real-life days you have to send an app in.

The Immortal of the Cabal in question can let you apply when they want, there's no set clan rank you need to be - some Cabal Imms may just wait for you to get to T to let you in though, I think it's pretty much case-by-case.

Depends on the cabal. Doesnt ever hurt to send a note to the cabal speaking of your intentions.

Heh thanks for your extremely prompt answers!

Time to get my char recognized and kill some big boys!

Thats one way to get him worthy of being approved by the cabal imm of course.

Thanks again, youve been quite helpful.

Are the clan quests still in by the way? I just joined a clan but couldnt find a way to do those quests I used to do back in 2.0...

Yea, there are still clan quests. You'll randomly be given one at some point, you cant ask for them.

Clan quests, as I recall, require more than one member of a clan to be on before they're given out.

Also, Herald doesn't have clan quests.

I've been given clan quests when I've been the only one about, a number of times. They do seem to occur shortly after a new clan member logs on though, if there are more than one around, and shortly after a worldshift too.

There are also guild quests, which you can get by saying "quest" to your guildteacher.

I think this was changed awhile back, when I think Watchers had so few clan members on, so the one or two that were on could never get clan quests. Therefor, Watchers had no cabal members.

But I could be wrong. Normal things have happened.

is it still true that if you reach (T) and become applicable in Despair clan, yet fail to send an app in during the required time, that you will likely be killed repeatedly by the elders? someone had mentioned that this is the way they ran the NEXUS cabal long ago.

RE clan quests: They will be given out if only one clan member is online also. Might take a little longer till one comes along.

RE not applying for Nexus: That is wholly depending on the morts who are currently in Nexus rp.

Lol. Sounds fun, though that was never how Nexus was when Sirican was Elder.

Cabal members don't know when/if someone has been given a chance to apply. Only the Imms know, unless they decide to tell you.

The individual running of the clans can at times fall almost completly in the players hands. Yes at times nexus and cartel have been...rough...

With the current situation of Nexus I doubt anyone is going to cry if someone does not apply.

If you just wish to be clan not cabal, just inform your cabal Imm.

i reckon. Someone roll a goodie.

What, you can't Aulian?

Oh...that's right, druids can't be good, can they?

No they cant...

And they idea of you telling me to play anything that wasnt neutral and forest orientated was just HORRIBLE.

Shame on you.

Which explains the only Herald Vampire in the history of FL.

Many Kudos and a few seconds worth of golf clapping.
