Best one-handed weapon to parry with

I believe its a sword, am I right or wrong? If so...what is it heh,

I was thinking its a toss up between sword, dagger, and spear, but I'm too lazy atm to read through the helpfiles and figure it out myself

Or to even read the stickied threads (which isn't quite right in the orignal post, but there is a link to a better answer in the thread).

Edit: Small tip: hand to hand = exotic for offense/disarm/etc

Owing to a different post by Celerity, if it's just the fact that you don't have the two handed skill, then it's still a staff. It will affect your damage, not having the skill, but with a staff your parry ability works just fine without the two handed skill.

spear is far as I know is the most defensive one handed weapon

Best one handed defensive weapon is the healers staff.

There are rummors of a 1 handed evil staff.

If you have shield block but no two handed skill, dont use a two handed staff, as you will lose a defense.

There's a one handed all align staff around. Low average though.
