Changing clans

I've been trying to change clans but the clan guard of the clan I wish to join will pocket my money and say I already know of your affiliations. I'm barely an inductee/member of my new one and I don't see why I can't go back. Any ideas?

I think you need to speak to the clan Imm or maybe any mort leaders. I remember Malch implemented this some time ago, for reason X (which I can't remember off-hand).

Oh, thanks for the info. But I actually remember neither of the mort leaders had any power to induct or get someone out of the clan.

As far as I am aware, if someone is Elder or Leader in the clan, they have the ability to induct provided the person is in the same room as them.

I had to get my Clan leader to boot me out in order to join another.

Choose your clan affiliations more wisely. Clan hopping is just a few notches worse than cabal hopping. You can not just join a cult and expect to be able to leave it so easily. Furthermore, there were people (such as ninjas and thieves) just joining clans so they could go in and PK someone else.

I thought using a clan room to avoid pk was a big nono (except for the Militia who are there to keep an eye out for criminals) Can I get a confirmation either way?

You can hide all you want in a clan room. People do it all the time.

But surely their are some legitamate reasons as to why someone would want to switch clans. Now I feel like i'm stuck going for a cabal I dont' want to go for and forced to rp a character a bit differently than I wanted to. I picked up a character I had long ago thx to the age change and now realized what I wanted to do in the past is not what I want for my character now. I've even rp'd my dissapearance but I can't do anything about the clan thing.

Roleplay with your leaders, send notes, do whatever. It can happen.
