I took a character into the shadow grove and couldnt find my way out and i spent like fifteen minutes trying gave up and decided to use a potion of recall and when i used it it said i was forsaken. im just wondering what things could cause this so i can avoid them.
alright can i get any ideas why a god would forsake you
Some areas area no-recall areas so you can't recall out of them.
If you want a little pointer for the shadow grove and similar areas, use the "exits" command as you're walking about. You might see "the entrance to the shadow grove" as you are moving about, thus showing you which direction to go to get out.

That's the MUD's way of telling you that you are in a no-recall area/room.
Yeah, forsaken means that the gods hate you. They don't hate you. There is no "heavenly" or "hellish" plot to get you. It's okay. They just don't like you.
