the problem you run into is the question of how much sound do you add. I added sound using zMud triggers... once. I made a short, amusing sound for each of my monk's attacks. it was very bad kung fu movie. I lagged my pos computer so bad that it almost killed me. you want sound? hum the indiana jones theme song while you play. it's safer that way.

it depends on your mud client, what color your text is, you can actually customise the colors in sum mude clients. but grey is usually a catchall for not hitting whatever you are.
