Stance Proficiency

Assuming they are exactly the same, excluding stance proficiency.

If the other Blademaster/Monk is in a stance with 100% proficiency, and you have 110% proficiency in that same stance, but are currently in another stance. Will you fair better against them (offensively and defensively respectively), statistically, tactics aside?

I fail to see the correlation between the two. If you were to fight someone with the same proficiency in a stance... then you would fight them equally. Now, if you're asking whether you would fight someone better with higher proficiency in a stance than they have... experiment and find out.

Uhh...unless he edited his post, thats exactally what he asked.

Ah. I saw two 100%, not 100% and 110%.

So I'll shorten my answer: Experiment and find out.

My guess is that it won't make a difference. But that's my GUESS.

110 in dragon will not help defend against dragon stance..only defenses do that...

110 in dragon might give benefits while being in dragon stance that 100 doesn't give

stances aren't like weapon skills that will help you to 'parry' with knowledge

Depends on the stance. For example, horse stance and drunken stance, you'd do well to have a higher proficiency in, in terms of defense. Offensive stances, it might give benefits in terms of special abilities firing off. Similar with blademasters.

Yeah, you'll defend better (against everything) with a high prof in horse stance IF you are using horse stance.

However, you will not defend better AGAINST a different monk's horse stance if you have high prof in horse stance (unless you are using horse yourself)...this is what the question is getting at I think.
