What can I do to get a countdown of the ticks to the next in-game hour? I've seen some things on other clients, but I use ROA, and any help would be appreciated.
Time ticker on ROA client
I'd like to know too, but I use MUSHclient.
Any help?
You can set the tick interval in ROA's options->config menu (where exactly depends on the version you're using). Never used MUSHclient, but perhaps you can find some infos here. AFAIR, ticks don't have exactly the same duration, so you might want to look for some trigger that catches strings like "the night has begun" or "the sun rises" and resets the tick counter.
I never could figure out how, one some of these logs, you'll see something like TICK IN 5 SECONDS. What kind of client is that? Or is it something added in for us readers to know?
It's Zmud. And it owns.
I started on Gmud.
Converted to RoA.
Now I'm on Zmud.
Very easy transitions, each time. Gmud was the newb client. RoA was a better client with more features, mastering Gmud made the transition easy. Now I'm on Zmud and couldn't be happier. Awesome client, fairly easy to use (the advanced l33t hax0r options aren't though).
Pfft, Gmud. What more do you need than a couple aliases and triggers?
I can't live without those nifty num-pad directions, so GMUD has always been annoying.
Are the tick counters accurate, though? More accurate than ROA, I should say. I know that if you set the tic counter in the lower left hand corner of ROA, it will tic at whatever intervals you set it, but the tics in game can varry. They're not always exactly 30 seconds.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, that when you get the TIC IN 5 SECONDS message, is it actually in 5 seconds?

Most likely not, it's probably an estimate.
