Casting on Self

Are spells that are casted upon yourself supposed to drain your mana? This was an afflictive spell btw. Because if its not I think I may have found either a bug or a powerful effect from a very underutilized spell. I'm hoping for the latter.

Any spells that aren't supposed to be cast on yourself are supposed to hurt you, lower your proficiency and drain half your mana or something like that. So the more you cast that, the lower your prof will get.

I think that's the old school style. I don't know if it still lowers your prof.

I don't think they lower proficiency anymore. That was totally annoying when I was fighting Menderin (I think that was his name, minotaur warmaster) and casted spells on 'me' all the time.

Menderin was nasty for a minotaur, but Gundersharm (not sure about that name either) was nastier. I'm happy there's not so many minotaurs around anymore.

Statham was a rough Minotaur.
