Zmud

Okay, I usually use telnet to connect, and ive had zMUD on my computer for a long time and I dont know how to connect to forsakenlands with it, because its not on the "mud list". Im fairly computer illiterate, so help me figure out if zmud is a good choice, and how to connect to FL.

  1. After startup click NEW button.

  2. locate the entry for Aabahran in the list on the left, click on it then click the edit button on the top toolbar.

  3. In the MUD tab, enter 216.136.9.8 for host and 1848 for port.

  4. click save button.

  5. highlight icon for FL then click connect button.

Happy ZMudding!

Thanks a bunch, I got it working. Ive been able to use zmud in the past, and I know one of its big things are the use of triggers. For some reason, i cant access the mapping, triggers, etc. at all when im in playing FL. Is this something that has to be done before logging in or what?

Do you mean you can't set up triggers or triggers do not fire? Setting up triggers is pretty straightforward, I believe the help files in ZMud does a good job in explaining how to do it.

i mean that i can not even click on the trigger button to set them up, i cant click anything, just hear the ping sound when i try to do so

What version of ZMud are you using? Is it legit?

5.5 its the trail version

You could try upgrading to the lastest version, 7.21. If you are using 5.5 because you have a crack for it, then maybe its the crack which is screwing up ZMud. Nevertheless try out 7.21, that way you could see if the problem is with Zmud itself.

well i have the triggers working, but i dont remember how to set them. I know its a kinda you see something/something happens and it triggers the actions. I guess i know how they work, i just dont know how to set them up. Can someone show me a basic trigger so i can copy it and apply it to different things.

If you don't know a whole lot about computers/mud clients, I'd seriously recommend Gmud. It's really simple to use, and can do about everything you need.
