Character Obstruction

Hi Im a newbie here, been playing here about two weeks and I must say this is a rather good mud indeed. Seem to be grasping all the rules and guidelines so far, but just have two issues I would like guidance on.

The first a question: Where can I find information and perhaps past successful applications for Qraces? need some ideas and inspiration on what is required. (couldnt find any past apps when searching on this forum)

The second is a difficult situation one of my characters is finding themselves in:

Another character constantly hounds my char and has killed him once whilst i got disconnected and fully looted. Thats fine such is mud life.

However this character is constantly trying to find and kill my char again whilst he is practically naked, making him flee the lands all the time, preventing my char from actually mastering anything or getting more armor pieces. My char is only rank 25 is this acceptable behaviour?

If so what are my options? I wouldnt want to be killed several times by the same person whilst half naked, its just not sporting.

Any constructive help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

send a note or pray to the gods. Or post your problem on the prayers forum. Trash killing like that isn't acceptable at low ranks. However, if you're talking smack back to him each time you die, it's your fault. Not accusing you of it, just letting you know how that end works. If he's/she's just coming in and laying the smack down on you whislt naked and without saying a word, that's just pk record padding and isn't cool.

In summery: Note to Imms, or Pray to Imms if any are on and visible, or Post a thread on the Prayers forum.

personally you might try to rp more with that person..

do they talk to you at all?

did you get full looted or just partial?

do you try to talk to them?

do they make demands?

How many times have they actually killed you verses said they will kill you?

i know i have played in the past both roles ..yours and your aggressors..some people have very good ic reasons for hating an entire align/religeon/race and that could be your issue.

I know myself i will slay someone as is my current rp, but in future "encounters" i will claim to hunt while i wont, because i want to keep the game fun.

At lower ranks, multi-killing, defined as multiple PKs in a very short time frame (a few RL hours to one RL day) by the same character, should be reported to the IMMs via the prayer forum or a note/prayer in game. Your posts to the prayer forum can only be read by you and the IMM staff.

As already noted, if you are smack talking or antagonizing them after getting beat down, then the other character is fully encouraged to smack you around again. But if they're just pit-humping or stalking you for when you unghost, that's not cool.

Oh, he can kill you again, just not repeatedly within the same couple of minutes rl. As long as he gives you a fair chance to re-equip he has his rights to pk you.

Heh, whoops! That is how I do it. Imms never busted my butt so they are the ones to blame!

If they're multikilling you under 40 they're a total loser and should be reported to the gods. When you get to 50 multikill them mercilessly.

I can think of a situation very similar to this that I saw recently in game. If it is the same one, then I will keep my mouth shut but the person hunting has reasons for doing what he does that will likely be validated. I would seguest a few things,

1. try and out rank him and beat him to 50. Then hunt him when he is at a disadvantage.

2. the opposite of 1, wait untill he out ranks you and avoid him untill you hit 50.

3. Try and RP with him and find out his reasons. Remember not everyone is going to roll over and tell you. You may need to poke and pry around a bit.

All of them are not going to work in every situation, but one of them usually works on most situations.
