Basic gear.

Hi,

I'd like to know if it is possible for people to post their basic "Requip" gear and for what classes. I figure it should consist of only common items so no rares or uniques. I would hope that this helps out the newbies.

um...depends at 50 or not... tehre are some rares.. that well.. arent really rare.

I took out all glowing n humming crap cause its my pinns eq list I just changed

xxis using:

Combat lantern

onyx ring

*not important cause can be bought cheap from rhydien

This is what a 50 should be able to get alone with some knowledge of the lands:

xx is using:

Combat lantern/banner (ranger/warrior easily gotten)

(Glowing) (Humming) a Ring of Fire/opal/onyx if better suited

(Glowing) (Humming) a Ring of Fire/opal/onyx if better suited

a golden mask/high guardians/veil

this should be pretty easy to get with a 50... Or REALLY easy to upgrade to if you take a little time and are careful.

Might wanna edit out that name

Edit: Nm, ya got it

lol silence you! damn bastards.. I knew there was something wrong with that entry

Damn, you mean that the second list that is for 50's is just a basic list?!

That's usually the highest I ever get to :..(

Also, are those lists seem focused on melees right?

the second list kinda works for both.

**Edit: and yea, tahts a basic 50 set, (ready to pk set taht is)

Second list is a lil higher end than the first, heh....most of that won't be in much, of course

Base set (Goodie/Neutral)-

Golden sun, two onyx rings, two teeth necklaces, mithril helm, onyx earring/hydra stud, mithril vest, mithril sleeves, mithril gauntlets, mithril leggings, mithril boots, thick animal hide, mithril girth, two titanium bracers, usually a sharp glaive, white/grey veil, and a red stone.

Base set (Evil)-

Blood candle, two onyx rings, two teeth necklaces, red dragon helm, onyx earring/hydra stud, oak chest plate, oak arm plates, red dragon claws, oak leg plates, red dragon rear claws, thick animal hide, bandit belt, two titanium bracers, usually a sharp glaive, black veil, and a red stone.

If I'm at 50, once I get those things, I'll start replacing them, either through PK or mob killing. Once you get some experience in PK, most of your re-equipping will be done by PKing with the base set, and taking what you need from your opponents.

For lowbies, never discount the merits of Mahn-Tor gear or the AC of Ofcol gear.

In my opinion, both are rather limited in their usefulness. The AC from the Ofcol gear is nice for a mage, I suppose, but rather useless for a melee, especially when you can get mithril at that level.

And there are only a couple worthwhile pieces of Mahn-tor gear, namely the face pieces, because they're one of the few non-rare, easy to get face pieces in the game, that have decent stats.

I mention Mahn-Tor gear for lowbies only because no one usually wants it and they leave it lying around for any invis class to come get.

I mentioned Ofcol gear because of its several "healthy" benefits for lower characters and because no one usually wants it.

While lacking other characteristics of more powerful pieces, it provides a nice basic AC coverage for pinns against mobs, but yeah, I don't recommend PKing in it.

In other words when you see some lowbie running around in ofcol gear its Chayesh with a "PK ME" sign slapped to his ***

Or you could do my old human cleric re-equip set.

flame of kashangal

shield from kashangal

silver club

GO PK!!!

Golden Sun

Shazarazade(sp?) Signet Ring

Shazarazade(sp?) Signet Ring

Billowing White Cape, & Rusted Medallion (get the medallion when you're out of ghost, or last of all).

Billowing White Cape, & Rusted Medallion (get the medallion when you're out of ghost, or last of all).

Mithril helm

Soldier's breastplate (Alternatively, that other easy-to-get-vest but that's a rare, which we aren't discussing)

Mithril sleeves

Mithril gauntlets

Mithril leggings

Mithril boots

Shield of Arms

White robe

Mithril girth

White gold bracelet (eventually replaced with titanium bracers)

White gold bracelet (eventually replaced with titanium bracers)

Depends. Blessed pike is a requestable non-rare polearm which I would grab in a pinch.

High guardians facemask

If you're a good there are a lot of items that you'd normally have to kill for, that can be replaced with their requestable equivalents (or items that can be requested that are similar) to maximise your ghost-time for re-equipping. Bear in mind that all of my pinned goods that have been involved in PK have been Paladins, so that base EQ-set is largely biased towards a Paladin grabbing a few things to start with (which are all requestable).

If you can summon, you can summon the mob for all of those items apart from the High guardians facemask and the mithril (and mithril is ridiculously simple to get straight from the bat), making re-eqing even faster and easier. You probably won't be able to request everything whilst you're a ghost but you can get a good deal, and if you haven't been full-looted and just need a few things, you can get them and still have ghost-time to do whatever you want to do. That EQ list above, although not great, can often sometimes for a Paladin if you don't have time to grab anything decent (or until you can grab something decent), even against a decked, Caballed foe (depending on who they are of course). I landed more than one kill with the above EQ set, against decked, Caballed foes, and I'm not the best PKer.

Please tell me if that's a little too much info.

Dey

what you can get alone is usually enough for me. Then you can always kill dey after he's been on a trip to gear or something if you want better eq.

ROFL - Burned!

Oh...wait..

Dey

Or roll a ninja and study H&R while he is killing Dey. And when he is don, BAM. And both their things are all yours.

Explore the sea more, there's a very decend helm out there you can just buy, no level requirement, not rare.

Most of these reequip suggestions have been for melee/ rough, I'd like to see one for an invoker /battlemage.
