well i was going to see how tall dwarves are but nope muds down im assumming that dwarves are only slightly taller than halflings right?

According to DnD, dwarves are around 4-4 and 1/2 feet tall, but weigh about the same as humans.
According to FL, dwarves could be anywhere from 3-6 feet tall and weigh 50-500 lbs.
What I'm trying to say, is that you can make your dwarf look like anything you want, as long as it's still the same general size/shape of a dwarf.
In FL, dwarves are sized just like humans, elves, werebeasts, feral, and many other 'average' races. Halflings are a 'small' race.
They are considered the same size, because can you imagine bash/bodyslam/tripping a dwarf, the low center of gravity would make them hard to knock off-balance.
Luckily, we know that only convienent laws of physics apply in FL. Following what you said, we could say the same thing about halflings, gnomes, and even faeries. But...alas...we don't.
Halflings, gnomes and faeries weigh a whole lot less...

No, it doesn't but you could bash a halfling further because it's lighter, I guess I should have noted I was speaking in terms of height and weight, not just center of gravity. Whoops.
dwarves should actually be a pain to try to bash. They are both heavy and got a low center of gravity. Dman stocky. It's like bashing a small rock. 
not to mention ramming oneself directly into a dwarf's ale-gut.
halflings, being the stoners they are, are less likely to have the 'padding' a dwarf does.
therefore, halfling are easier to bash.

I don't think I've met a Faerie yet who wasn't an Invoker or a Battlemage (prot-shielders). What size are Faeries anyway? Smaller than a halfling?

Faeries are "tiny" size. Faerie thieves have the slight advantage of avoiding faerie fog/fire and flying autosneak. Good for a very pure thief. Thats about it though...

well... i think it was jamez' dwarf that was actually the size of a halfling, and it think grosek's that was the size of a human. you can get away with rp murder, if you try.
