It seems that within a cabal you recieve automatic promotions up through trusted, but at trusted it is not automatic, or so it seems to me. Do you need to apply to become trusted or create a vote or similar? I know you used to have to create a vote for any promotion a long time ago, but apparently that changed, so uncertain on how it goes for Trusted, Elder and Leader these days. Thanks.

They're promotions you recieve from an immortal, generally.
A higher lvl cabal member can also create a vote for your promotion, I believe.
Only your cabal Imm can give you T and higher.
