I heard ninja throw was toned down some time ago. So does that mean it'll still do disints on mobs and chars during pk? cuz i remember i once sparred with a monk and even though he had no sanc i did a disint and demolish/oblit throwing them.

I don't THINK damage was toned on the ninja throw. What was toned is the fact that now you need doublesheath with an OPEN doublesheath slot to autothrow. Which is now a ninjitsu(underused at that). Now thief throw seems to have been toned damage wise, but now has the added effect.
Ninja with doublesheath (not ninjitsu) could possibly have four or five unblockable attacks in the opening round (if they chose a different ninjitsu as well).

Didn't need doublesheath to autothrow before, thus any ninja could do it.

Won't be doing any damage like that to anyone without sanctuary, at least I never did with one of my ninjas. I think you'd be able to get to the 'upper echelon' of caps damage (MANGLEs) with say, fire daggers VS feral, but honestly, even that could be wrong. I can't remember. 
But in general, you won't hit as hard as bards do.

yep I seem to remember anhilating with bard cards, no vuln attached. I always wondered what it would be like to throw fire cards at a ferral...
I've hit oblits and demolishes with a ranked ninja, against an opponent with no sanctuary. Never Annihilate. However, pushes against an unsanced opponent into a wall were.. geez, MANGLEs, all the time. It ruled.

They have one major pitfall, though.
You have to play a bard to use them.
If bards got doublesheathe...I'd actually play them.

Actually, that bard demon existed years ago and set in motion one of the best, largest RP plots in the MUD's history.

It was primarily that part of your post that bugged me. I was there during much of that plot, and I guarantee that it had nothing to do with friendly favors.

yeah I said it....
the demon bard was me, and it was nothing close to being strong. it was done for RP purposes only to continue the plot. since i created/ran the plot it was allowed, but i doubt you will see another. but, then again, anything is possible with correct RP and IMM approval.
