Hello there! I played FL about... three-ish years ago.. Just getting back into the game because I'm super bored with my girlfriend and myself both working from home..
Anyways... Like... I forgot all the normal commands.. how to check how much gold I have..where to level..HOW to level.. x.x
Any and all help/advice would be a great assistance.

Welcome back. 
Well, typing 'help' on it's own will give you some indication of general commands. 'Score' will give you the information about your current level of gold, as well as other character stats, and 'worth' will also show you your current gold, as well as showing your overall EXP and Cabal Points (if caballed).
Check 'help tour' out for information on places to get started with ranking and gaining EQ. It has information on places that will take you up to around your thirtieth level. Leveling involves killing mobs to gain experience, or doing quests to gain experience, or in some minor cases, getting better at skills/spells gives you a small amount of experience, which will contribute to gaining your level. Anything that gives you experience, really.

Also the newbie school mobs now give x2 exp so rank there until 5. The rest is like before, goods go to drk woods or the caves.
