Total newb question 
If an item has the flag noremove is there any other way to remove it, other than wearing talismans to decrease your strength. Uncursing it removed the noremove flag as well if i remember correctly.

You can uncurse it and it will remove the flag.
PS - Also, invokers love to help you out in those matters.
Use talismans, if they are not enough, ask around for some rings that will help you out.
Other options are destroying the weapon or removing the noremove flag.
