Recently I went after a storm giant. I was dual wielding two dirks, he had no sanc, I had a damage roll of somewhere past 20, and I was doing like decimates. What's the deal? And he was a zerker, so I don't think he could have had protection.
Storm Giants
thier wood vulnerability only comes into play with thrown things or them trying to pick up and wear/wield something made of wood.
And, they get physical resistance.
And it's entirely possible that he had protection. There's a VERY easily accessible source of it, nowadays.
Use a magical weapon.
Same applies to drow/elf. Only rangers can take advantage of that vuln for damage.
or edged cards, shurikens, or daggers, I believe.
And a dam roll in the 20's wont get you far, unless your a long way from your temple. ![]()
What about arrows?
Hrm I think wooden arrows pierce, so that wouldn't do it.
I don't suppose 'thorns' type damage counts as wood? Seems like it should...
I think thorns are a pierce.
