As far as I could tell Spellkill does not work on mobs.
Blademaster Training
It does. I've travelled to Magic with numerous blademasters, for the sole purpose of using it on a mob.
seriously, deathstrike... doesn't work on mobs, so it doesn't save you the xp pen. It just doesn't give your oppnent the win?
edit: if i ask too much, just give me a yes or no that there is a greater purpose.
I've had two blms and died a few times to mobs and never deathstriked them. Had it up in the mid 80's on my first and it only hit pcs. Don't know about the pk credit I just know it stuns whoever kills you for a time.
so it's not hari-kari, it's like bead strangulation
well, you actually get the killing blow on yourself so it's like that, but I doubt it takes pk credit away from your killer. It won't kill them, but it will lower their hp to 1 I'm assuming if the strike is more hp than they have left and if they have more hp than the strike would take, it only takes that much but stuns them in both cases.
gives you a chance to get your gear i guess.... interesting...
note to self: Fight blademasters FAR away from their recall point.
Here's some specific questions:
Do crit strikes add affects to mobs, just PCs, or some of both?
Does predict work against mobs?
Deathstrike? Why?
Doesn't anyone ever experiment ingame anymore?
Why bother when there is a forum? ![]()

There's a fine line between experimenting in game and chasing something that isn't there.
Isn't experimenting, by definition, seeing whether something works or doesn't work the way you think it might?
It's very, very easy to find a mob that kicks dirt, predict dirt kick, and wait and see.
Or get detect magic and crit strike some mobs.

assuming that you weren't doing predict wrong, which I was and that I haven't seen any affects on mobs after successful crits (and no not chest).

How many people know where to find a potion of detect magic. Not like they sell them in rheydin ![]()
There is a stave in one of the newer areas.
Go find it.
Yeah, cuz blademasters can use staves.
I coulda sworn I wrote potion in my post.
Read the help file for predict and follow its instructions.... I promise you won't do it wrong.

I know where a nice one is, lasts about 13 hours.
Getting detect magic is not -that- hard.
All I was saying is that the potions for it arent obvious.
