Is it allowed for people to tell me what the different transformations do, so I don't have to keep on ranking up to 15 to find out?

Nope.
You should be able to chose your beast during creation, that way you don't have to keep ranking to 15 to get the one you want. (Note: I havn't done this yet, but if I ever make another druid I will have to.)
or you could take what you get and go with it.
I used to think the same thing, that one was better than the others but actually they are pretty balanced.
Except if u go werebeast zerker, then i think bear is best for sure.
