Hrm...I'm not there yet, but when I get there, I need some help choosing, seeing as how ranking a warrior to 50 just to test one of them out kind of sucks. I was thinking either shield expertise, shield bash, or mantis maul. Any advice/opinions?

Can't really discuss selectable skills, ask around in game and you might get some ideas but they are selectable for a reason and the reason is so every experience at 50 for warriors is different and different races will do better with different selections.
