Extra Attack

Does that skill even exist? It's on the encumberance help file, and there's no help file for it. If it doesn't, is there something else that is hindered by that encumberance?

If I'm right, you're asking about blademasters? The extra attack isn't a skill per se that you can train, but it's there. It's part of a skill you do get.

Selectable skills are best discussed amongst others of your class in game, not the forum.

It's not a selectable skill becuase I'm not talking about bladesmasters, but monks. Help encumberance has it under there.

Encumberence doesn't apply only to monks.

Your point being?

That what you are reading might not apply to monks at all...

ENCUMBERANCE

Because monks and blademasters rely on their quickness in combat, if they

wear heavy equipment, certain skills will be hampered. Here is the list of

encumbrances.

area weight monk skills blademaster skills

arms 10 martial arts beginner critical strike

legs 10 kickboxing beginner battlestance

hands 5 martial arts advanced double counter, snakespeed

head 5 sense predict

feet 10 kickboxing advanced footwork

body 5 speed spellkiller

waist 10 speed powerstrike

torso 15 extra attack onslaught

Come on, guys. Don't give advice if you don't know what you are talking about As Viri would say, 'RTFM'.

I'm not sure what extra attack is, myself, incidentally.

I've got the help file right in front of me. It lists both classes and the encumberances possible, so...I don't think I'm mistaken. Speed doesn't have a help file either, maybe it has something to do with Monkey Stance?

Maybe it means you lose attacks if you are encumbered on youy torso?

edit: and yeah, sorry bout the bad info, I was just guessing what wolfeman was saying, never seen that helpfile before...I think it is pretty new.

Does the skill speed exist?...

Extra attack = you get less attacks. If I sound condescending, I'm sorry, but sheesh.

You lose an attack if you wear armor thats too heavy for that slot.

Not from what I've observed so far, both of you. I'm getting four attacks, which is all I can get, at the moment. Though admittedly I don't have the fifth yet. Also, encumberance hands has a specific extra attack it hurts. It would seem it would be the same way for torso.

Maybe by extra attack it means chakra hits?

Seems like that's the closest guess so far, but it doesn't seem logical to replace chakra with extra attack...

The encumberance help file is a hold over from the original release of monks on ar(I think). Monks originally had skills like speed, which was a psuedo haste, and they had a throw command that was a lagging like attack. It was when they were in beta, and those skills got removed or altered in some way(speed became monkey stance). So the help file, like my post, may not be completely accurate.

This post is as I recall it being said from the AR forums, from a long time ago. Viri or Behrens may have made some changes.

WC

No, monks never had skills like speed or extra attack. Speed/extra attack is exactly what it states...speed and extra attack. No special skill or something.

Whatever it is it has to do with your martial arts, do not be encumbered cuz it will hinder you somehow in a bad way for sure.

No' date=' monks never had skills like speed or extra attack. Speed/extra attack is exactly what it states...speed and extra attack. No special skill or something.[/quote']

Speed was a skill, the help file existed. As I said, it was during beta(or alpha even) but the skill was made and removed in favor of balance, or style, or some reason.

WC

Speed is how many times yo hit a round, you will lose attacks, and extra attack is chakra hits. But not the ones you hit in stances.

EDIT: Don't quote me on these and be so fast to call me wrong, I just have my opinions, but I believe these to be quite accurate for certain reasons which will remain my own.
