RP tools explained

Oh, like a french phrase, or something of the like?

Note: Pulling off Chayesh vent's are hard. I think there's some sort of if statement actually looking for the name. And no one believes that one anyways, as he's never visible in game. But...others are believable.

Gosh...I can think of at least 5 morts who've seen me in the last week.

They just weren't you.

Oh...and phrase implies more than one word.

RE Chayesh:

I know phrase isn't one word. As does everyone here. But! Everyone also knows that when I said 'phrase' I was refering to the word blase. Hence, no confusion. Pick on someone weaker.

And I knew something was to be said about your visibility. I'm refering to my(and -many- others) personal experience. I've seen/met you in game only twice since the administration change. I know quite a bit of the time you're there, but almost always wiz/vis. So saying you're visible(to me) for one hour out of the hundreds I've done since the change, I chose to say 'never.'

RE Dey:

I can't answer but I'd assume no as long as it's all in game. Why wouldn't a bard be allowed to mimic a deity?

Edit: Oh and about the IMM ripping the mort for doing it. I wouldn't assume actual OOC punishment. I'd think IG punishment for tricking people. If I was sitting in the clouds and saw someone pretending to be me I'd smite them too.

Well I suppose this type of thing wouldn't really happen because the 'victim' in question could just say it's not them, but it would be quite cool if you could do...

vent 'knight elder' "rofl knight leader you suck!" (or whatever the syntax is)

Knight elder says, "rofl knight leader, you suck!"

knight leader says, "What?!??!!"

vent 'knight elder' "hahaha yea, i'm so gonna join nexus and eat rofflelog with the vamps."

Knight elder says "hahaha yea, i'm so gonna join nexus and eat rofflelog with the vamps."

*Knight Leader: Cabal evict *(or whatever the bloody hell it is they do )

A bit of a farfetched, extremely unlikely example but hey, if there were no consequences for getting away with pulling stunts akin to that, I'm gonna go roll a bard when I get home from work..

Dey

is that how you can vent mobs with more thsn one name? single quotes? and then double quote what you want them to say?

You don't have to put the said parts in quotes.

I don't know, I can't remember the syntax. I'm gonna roll an experimental char now though..

Dey

RAIREN's correct.

vent 'leet mob' I'm talking blah blah.

You can get a multi-word speaker, and the 'says' doesn't have to be quoted.

vent 'A stupid gust of wind' Woosh. Neeuaahah.

As for smotes, again, you can do tricky stuff, like:

smote "Wute!", screams Doofus in a pathetic voice.

smote Doofus glares at Yug and Fork.

Yug and Fork see: "Wute!", screams Doofus in a pathetic voice.

Yug sees: Doofus glares at you and Fork.

Fork sees: Doofus glares at Yug and you.

Oh, and another thing... It doesn't matter where your name is in the Smote, so you can actually use it to make mobs say things. Pretend your name is Buff, and the mob's name is Hurg.

smote Hurg says "Listen, Buff, you have about three seconds to get out of here."

smote Shrugging, Buff shakes his head at Hurg. "I ain't done nothing wrong."

smote Looking even more annoyed, Hurg's face turns bright red, "You little twit! GUARDS! Get Buff out of my tavern!"

smote Hurg glares at Buff icily.

Just don't do that to players. That's called abuse, and people have been good with smotes. That's why you can use them at level 1 now instead of the way it was before, when you had to be level 30 or something before you could use them.
