Follow and PK

Is it bad form to follow someone before you attack them? Or after you attack, or whatever order.

People used to do it all the time, I wouldn't see why it would be bad form. But I think once you attack them or vice versa you stop following them. It's been a long time since I heard about the follow/attack method.

Combat negates following so there'd be no real point to it.
