another rogue using weapons i know out meeleeing the shit out of a ranger with a vuln staff. zzzzzz

he walks in delete one of my pets with sanc in 1 round, runs away, deletes another pet in a single round, rise repat and outmelees me by looks like about 800%. These rogues are just way too strong on top of that they can hide.

My vuln weapon hits about 30% harder than your vuln 24 vs 30 avg, and you only have probably around 15-20% more hp than I do. I also dont know your exact stats, but I buff to very good hit dam using a 30 avg vuln.

As far as the log goes, you let me kill your pets. You didnt really apply much pressure, when I left the area you just stayed there relying on camo when I can just where . And shadow grove was a big mistake when you're behind in a fight. Had you just stayed camod, or hit underdark to go somewhere else to regain your pets and reset I don't get a kill here. The moment I dropped your second pet you should have just left to go reset. Pvp isnt just X beats Y. There are strategies to use that arent just smash the gas pedal and try to trade damage. Ogres excel at this, but you have to be very good at applying pressure. You wielding a vuln weapon doesn't guarantee you're winning. This isn't a single player game, you're focusing too heavily on the matchups on paper looks while ignoring what the player is doing. Stop trying to just determine a fight with "well on paper" and start getting into fights and learning from the fights. I am not trying to be rude however, you're cleary an informed player I just think you're focusing on the wrong portion of PVP and getting frustrated because you're ignoring the most important part.

I also didnt kill any of your pets in a single round, looked like 4+ per pet. I stretched the fight out, and watched for when their sanc fell, and targeted that one. 2 of your pets sanc drops a tick before your sanc drops. And it was just bad luck missing back to back dirts at the end, because you outmelee me badly when I am blind, so I leave if you land a dirt. 2 rounds vs you and pets while blind is likely 20-30% of my hp.

IDK how the hell can i apply any pressure when you can just hide and take notes as long as you want in the safety of shadows. no way to pull you out of shadows reliably. my pets die super trivially. You defend better than a ranger with a staff, you do more damage with weapons i know vs weapon you dont with pugil. beast master is the biggest pile of dog shit in this new meta. You are right the moment you killed a pet in 1 round of combat i should have just logged off, because I cant force you to fight in any way you can just pick me apart from the shadows at your leisure and do 350 dmg per round casually.

I'm wearing a vuln weapon you dont know and i land almost no attacks. It's so annoying to just have my favorite class be so ignored and so bad. What is the most important part of pvp? just run away from eachother all the time? i hate how boring this game is, because it always incentivizes you to not have any fun but run away and hide. I spend all day waiting for a fight and he fights are so lame.

I'm not upset with you btw, i'm just not happy with this meta. especially what rogues can do so trivially. I don't mean to discount your player skill or attack you in any way.

If you read the log round by round, early on you hit me for 20% of my hp in a single round several times. I didn't outdamage you til the end. I think too many people focus on the backend mechanics to theorize the fight and honestly pilot is the biggest factor in pvp. expecting to hit 50 grab some eq and just wreck everything based on weapon charts is setting yourself up to be disappointed. Take some time, closely analyze where you think the fight turned. I will tell you right now I killed your pets in that order on purpose, and changed my pvp macros to target your pets. Choosing to use a manticore not an umber hulk is also a pretty bad choice. It deals magic damage, and you're giving up a defense to use it because of mind link. It's probably worth going to figure out how to make steamblaster, even if it wasn't a vuln weapon it is still a solid choice for a fired weapon.

Another factor is the #1 rule of FL pvp is right on your terms. I'm not gonna stand still and just trade damage and see who dies first, I'm gonna choose a place to fight that suits my play style, and any plan I might try to implement. I think you might wanna try focusing on building a strong rp angle, and let people become your nemesis. There are plenty of powerful chars in every cabal. No matter where you choose to go you'll have pvp opportunities.

i didnt CHOOSE a manticore, the game gave it to me. if i choose a specific pet and fail i have to wait like 9 hours to try and fail again. its really damn annoying, even as a "beastmaster" i struggle to get the pets I want.

in my experiencd i have to fight on others termd or they will hide and i have to spend 6 morr boring hours waiting for the next guy to log in and probably do thr same.

Even as a werebeast using all the +beastcall eq you can, you will fail often to call the beasts you want. Just part of the cost of doing business. You post up and wait til you have them.
