Make gold more rare

Is there any way we could make gold more rare?  I'm trying to do loans as a Merchant and even when offering gold or CP people turn me down left and right.  Maybe it's because they can easily go farm gold or because they have other ways to gain CP. 

So why not keep sacrifice the way it is, but lower the amount that shopkeeps will pay for items and lower the gold that certain NPCs have?  This would require people to go to Merchants for loans of large amounts of instant gold if needed, allows the merchant to RP especially if they don't pay.  What do you all think?

Well if they did lower the gold gain it would make paying back merchants just as equally hard. What about adding new stuff for merchants to interact with the cabals and players? 

Personally I would like to see merchants offer unique things like armor and weapons that cannot be gotten any where else.

Isn't there a way to bolster armies via merchants? Maybe if you could advertise your business or what you have to offer better it would help people like me who know not enough.

Also it would be cool to see merchants getting there own store front at cities they can sell goods without being there. They could set the prices and store there gold so we could sell to them.

That's the idea actually, think of it more as a bank loan.  You need one million gold, take it and pay it back with 10% interest.  If you have a good standing with the Merchant they lower it down to 5% or lower.  Would you go to a bank for it if you could go make a couple hundred thousand in a day and a million quick?

Yes Merchants can make your armies stronger but I'm not sure how effective it is.  They don't really offer much to other players imo.

I'd love to see Merchant have more abilities to offer, personally I feel the cabal could really progress.

1. Stalls in towns like you said.

2. The ability to mine/harvest and create armor/weapons to sell with it.

3. The ability to pay a high cp & gold to send mercenaries to retrieve an item for you to sell.

4. A pawn shop, the idea here is you go to the stall in town and can sell your rare for a cheap price but you get something out of it.  In a days time any Merchant has the ability to buy it from the shop and resell it.

Gold is actually a pain in the ass.  I spend hours solo farming.  When you factor in a class thst relies on heavy consumables you spent hundreds of thousands a week if you're pking heavy.  Loans were more introduced to "keep you in the game" when pking rather than logging off. 

When you drop you're last 100k on flying scrolls or (fill in the blank) necessary consumable people generally quit as they feel they've lost a level pk ground and need to farm gold when it's "quite".  Loans keep you in the game BUT at a price.  Same concept for rushing cabal gear and prolonging LI.

I do like the idea of a stall to sell your list items.  Waiting for a merchant sucks sometimes if your playtime varies from theirs.

And with it being such a pain why go get a loan where you'll have to spend interest which would weaken you in PK until it's paid.?  Only person I've had take me up on a loan is someone who wanted more CP and had the gold to spare.
