New Religion: Polytheism

I suggest a new option for religion choices. Polytheism, the worship of all gods. War Cry and Bless for these characters would be randomized at the time of use, and its affects corresponding to the random god they sought favor of at the time. Clerics and Paladins would not be able to choose this religion, as they must remain devoted to a single god for their communing to work properly.

Over the years I have played many characters who paid lip service to every god, I have noted many others who do the same. While many of my suggestions seem to inspire only negative responses, I hope you all can see the value in this one.

It's not bad, though I sorta saw every religion worshipper as serving all the gods, just one primarily.

I'm still annoyed that Atheism is under the "Faith" category.

Personally, I think this should be the default for all new characters (maybe all non-communers at least). The character starts the game with a generic and general belief in Aabahran's pantheon of gods...but they can enter the ranks of a specific's god cult through player interactions at a later time or declare opposition to worship (atheism, etc) in game.

Anything to simplify character generation and move that kind of stuff into the character's in game life is good in my book.

Exceptional idea. +1

Only because I personally know at least three people that tried FL by my suggestion and couldn't get past character creation. Yes it's easy, even simplistic for us... but every little thing that makes it easier to get in game is worth the effort imo.

Didn't religion used to be an IG thing that was forced on you by a certain level?

While I love Celerities idea, I don't think anyone should be forced to choose any particular deity. They just won't receive any specific deity related things, like tattoos.

In my idea, you don't need to choose a religion ever. You can choose, however, if you so wish, after character generation.
