Hall of Commandments
Iron chandeliers hang from the tall, vaulted ceilings of this hall
casting shadows throughout. Engraved, brass placards are set evenly along
the wall, each ornately engraved. A single torch, resting in a iron sconce
hangs above each placard illuminating each to ease in reading. An attendant
is here, more than happy to share his knowledge regarding the commandments.
[Exits: north south]
The Commandments have been carved into an ancient slab of granite.
(Invisible) (Charmed) A displacer beast snarls here.
(Charmed) A greater basilisk stands here.
Lortikan the Scourge of the Battlefield is here, sitting astride a warhorse.
(Charmed) (White Aura) A giant figure wholly covered in incandescent armor.
(White Aura) Geoffram the Righteous Fire of the Light, Commander of the Black
Watch Guard is here.
The Vanguard scans all around.
With a barely suppressed frown, Geoffram says simply: 'Explain.'
You feel righteous as you yell out your warcry.
You yell 'Amaruil heed my call!'
You say 'The impure will be purged. We spoke of this before my
induction.'
The Vanguard turns towards you briefly.
The Vanguard says 'Not bad.. not bad at all...'
You nod at the Vanguard.
You say 'Seems he agrees.'
'No.' Geoffram says. 'We did not.'
Geoffram utters the words, 'xafe ay candusqarr'.
The Vanguard disappears.
Aelrah gives a haughty chuckle.
'And so I say again.' Geoffram doesn't bother trying to suppress his frown this
time. 'Explain.'
You say 'We did we did. We sat right there to the south on
those steps.'
You say 'As I told you the Nexus are not the only ones that
will fall victim to Destruction.'
You say 'The monk is Darkness. A stain upon the ground it
walks.'
'I do not know where you got this name for yourself; allegedly, from Drokmar.'
Geoffram taps his chin lightly. 'But let me explain how things work in my Castle.'
'We have a code. A very strict code, that sets us apart from the rest of Aabahran.
' Geoffram says softly, his eyes smoldering.
With great fanfare and cloud of sparks shedding from its armor the Vanguard
arrives!
Daimed tells you 'You truely are one of a kind... I sense you will be a great ally
Gesturing to the tablet inscribed with the Commandments, Geoffram inclines his
head. 'Allow me to point out...'
The Vanguard goes to sleep.
You tell Daimed 'If for not long, but certain.'
'Let there not be Slaughter, only Mercy.' Geoffram intones.
You say 'Did you yourself not read my application either?'
'One does not obtain the title Righteous Fire of the Light without having done
one's fair share of blowing up Shadow-walkers.' Geoffram continues, ignoring the
interruption.
'But a fire,' Geoffram says softly, 'Must be used to temper. Otherwise, it will
sear the life out of the ground itself.'
Eyes ablaze, Geoffram says softly, 'To that end, you WILL NOT go about destroying
the framework for the diplomatic relations which we have pursued since BEFORE
YOU WERE BORN.'
'Do I make myself clear,' Geoffram asks, a dangerous tone to his voice.
You say 'Not in the slightest.'
Lortikan smirks.
Geoffram frowns.
Aelrah narrows his eyes, the piercing emerald color still
shining brightly through.
Eyes ablaze, Geoffram says softly, 'Then allow me to clarify still further.'
Lortikan's hunger injures him.
You get a bottle of milk from a sturdy backpack.
Lortikan nods.
You say 'Do feed yourself.'
'I will not equivocate on this point. You will respect the diplomatic relations
and policies that are in place or you will cease to be a KNIGHT.' Geoffram says
sternly. 'Clear enough?'
'You are welcome to question them, offer motions for their alteration, or seek
out my attention in their regards. But you will not flagrantly disobey orders.
It will not be tolerated.' Geoffram finishes softly.
You say 'Oh my motions were promptly denied.'
Eyes ablaze, Geoffram says softly, 'Then either resubmit them or acquiesce.'
Eyes ablaze, Geoffram says softly, 'And seeing as how I received no countenance
of your thoughts in this regard, I can say that such is not the case.'
You say 'And just incase the monk happens to slip, and behead
itself on my blade again, wether it happens again or not...'
Geoffram growls.
Aelrah stops himself.
Lortikan says 'I shall douse the flames from the Monk.'
Aelrah closes his eyes and bows his head.
Eyes ablaze, Geoffram says softly, 'Or so help me, I will light a fire under it
so hot, your grandchildren will feel the burn.'
Should it happen again. Do something of it.
Eyes ablaze, Geoffram says softly, 'Too many good men have died for what we now
enjoy for a spoiled brat to come along and think they can poke a bear with a
stick.'
Aelrah raises his head again, obviously changing his mind to
hold his tongue. 'I have over a hundred years on you, Fae. Let's not bicker of
age. Should it happen again. Do something of it.
You say 'This Castle was forwarned of what I have inside me.'
You say 'As I'm sure you have a full fledged one in your ranks
already.'
You say 'Regardless of it's action, or lack of. I will hold
true to myself.'
Aelrah narrows his eyes once more
Geoffram says 'You will leave my presence now. You will spend some serious time
thinking on what course you want to take. And if you so much as lay a finger on
that monk, or any other of our allies again, you will be discharged from service.
'
Eyes ablaze, Geoffram says softly, 'Dismissed, soldier.'
Aelrah narrows his eyes once more 'Name calling does not suit
you. Regent.
Lortikan raises an eyebrow.
'I said dismissed.' Geoffram says softly, eyes blazing.
Aelrah takes a single quill from his cloak, and swiftly
throws it against the wall with such force it embeds itself there. 'For your
paperwork, should it be needed.
Aelrah turns and leaves.

Drawbridge
Stout oak beams, bound and joined, makeup the gigantic drawbridge you are
crossing. Enormous steel chains run from high up in the castle walls to
just below the end of the bridge. Underneath you hear the lazy lapping of
water as the moat ripples from the breeze. Looming ahead is the grand
entryway into the castle. In the distance you see Knights milling about as
they tend to their duties.
