Brinnyl uncaballed lycan druid Vs. Tanjiro Half-drow Stalker V ninja

I think honestly as a ranger it would be much nastier. Reliance on spells cast only in forests, and the massive spell cost to buff (4 to 500 iirc) keeps druids fairly tame. But I got absolutely stomped by a jaguar druid as an invoker lol. Not even close.

I don't know if you've all noticed, but werebeast druid jaguars are out of this earth. Notice his melee output. Spectacular. A jaguar zerk would rock the world too.

Druids are pretty similar to monks, and blademasters. There is a titanic amoumt of prep work that goes into me having 12 to 15 ticks of viable combat. You see combat rounds, and regen rates, and don't see that Ive got 20+hours farming consumables, have spent probably close to 300k on herbs, and scrolls from Jysril. I'm not saying it isn't string, it just requires more out of combat effort than say other class I've played in recent years.

I've read over this log quite a few times, and I'm just not really seeing impressive melee output. It's consistent, but hardly spectacular. Mauls and devastates. His damage is coming from spells

But druids don't get enhanced damage, right?

Mauls and devastates (through sanc) would be considerably higher for ranger or zerk?

I'm not sure if they do or not, but enhanced damage really isn't a massive damage boost. You could hit the same melee numbers with an invoker if you wanted to. Just most people arent gonna wear dedicated hit dam eq on an invoker

smh

You fail to weaken Agmeel. Agmeel's jab mauls you. You parry Agmeel's attack. You block Agmeel's attack with your shield. Your crush LACERATES Agmeel! Agmeel dodges your attack. Agmeel is unaffected by a black dragon's poisoned bite! Agmeel has a few scratches.

This is nebu vs agmeel, now agmeel  not using sanctuary.

Based on the wiki damage verb to damage number conversion a lacerates is, on average, 47.5 damage. Cut that in half (to simulate him using sanc) and you are at 23.75. Which is 1.25 hp higher than the average for a maul. You can also be sure that nebu isn't using anywhere near the damroll the druid said (38)

No idea why this posted as anon. ^^^ is me

What I'm trying to say is enhanced damage can be worked around by focusing on good damage rolls on your weapons, and good hit dam values. Like all these 14d3 weapons are actually insanely powerful. So much more raw consistency. I don't know what the were beasts natural weapon damage roll values are, but looking at this logs consistency i would imagine it's Xd4, or Xd3

Kotrag - Eastern European Warlord

Bulgarian, to be more precise :)

It's one of the founders of our country (hence the RP).

I am surprised you know this, very few Bulgarians do.

Were you actually aware of this or you just googled random names that came to your mind?

[edit] By the way, reading this log, it's pretty clear who playes the ninja. Good to see you playing, still, and browsing this part of the forum.

Nice log by the way.

When I got my name rejected I just googled several big names at the time. It's extremely common for FL names to have inspiration from elsewhere. I think that's why people get frustrated when THEIR name gets rejected while we have several other characters IG or in recent times that have outside references.

Was a fun log! Good to see druids getting a victory instead of gating away! xD

My big "WTF" moment about IMMs missing names was @tassinvegeta's avian invoker Watcher, Covarrubias. Like... Really? 😂

You sure about that Trick?  :P

I thought? lol

That was one of my co-workers last name. Didn't think it was known enough to not use...

Pretty common Spanish surname and actually the name of a city in Spain.

I’ve worked with a few dudes with that last name.

My favorites:

  • Brunnen

  • WIndel (all time favorit)

If you want to know why, translate from German to English. We've also had at least a dozen very common german first names (most running around as dks for some reason?! e.g. Manfred, Klaus)

There was an ogre ranger named doophus just a few days ago

Meh. Not really. Druids are pretty much 100% ready with a druid staff and a shield. If you're a werebeast even easier.

There is almost 0 chance I would win fights vs chars like mordred with no ac or hit dam. You might be able to scrub up a win off luck and them being greedy, but that is definitely not a strategy to employ as your main. Even with all my herb prep I'm getting pushed around.
