High sight hits any vuln, even a werebeasts silver vuln. In fact they're the only ones that can hit the demon vuln, it's that obscure.

If it's a vuln, high sight is most likely hitting it. Only Erelei knows for sure.
The sadder is using an Axe the Invoker doesn't knows about, with a crusade declared and weapon raised. And the Invoker is most likely not using a staff. It's no wonder he can't parry.

Once you get the Reaver stuff you should do a lot better. There is also an +1 AFF orb with Lord Talex.
I wouldn't put much faith on Fire/Ice shield, because he can just get a Firelance/Icicle (polearm) and sneak change it during combat.
I would also not fight in closed spaces, you are auto-sneak, just flee mid fight let him figure where you went while you put Firestorm up for extra damage.
Fireblind is uncurable, and check saves everytime they enter the room or you cast the spell. Doesn't blind during posterious firestorm damage things. You have to cast it again to try to blind.
You can test this on mobs.

Mithril/Iron *was *a vuln 10 years ago. The problem arose from materials not transferring over to hit vulns. A weapon with the rays noun would hit the light vuln when edged, but not a weapon/armor edged with the light material. Now they do, and that's what E fixed.

It isn't a special sader skill. These logs are pretty similar to my invoker experience. 6 to 700 ac with a sub 5% defense rate in total.
