A Better Journal Idea?

Remember - Immortals always see journals. Even if you don't address it to them.

Due to the necessity to police them, I figure. I hope it's understood that if I don't send a journal to Morlhach its because I don't think its for your character and should not be played on IG.

Let's move on back to how to be an Immortal 101 and help GOD RULES.. Thanks for the reiteration there, Trick.

Just tested:

<30hp 100m 100mv> journal to character1[self] character2

You may only post journal entries to the Immortals.

<30hp 100m 100mv> journal to immortal character2

Ok.

<30hp 100m 100mv> journal show

Character1:

To: immortal character2

I thought for sure that when I first read the "You may only post..." return, it had immortal in the line at the time.  Apparently I didn't save that log from months ago, so I can't confirm what happened.

Anytime Morlhach. IMMs are people too. People forget and slip up sometimes.

The main difference with journal entries that I draft and 'lose' is that I'm in control of what information is laying about and when.

Basically a note then?

Basically...

It's been awhile since I created the journal list. Probably apt time I re-do it, since I know it can be done a little better code-wise.

But yeah, it's forced so that Immortal has to be in the TO line.

Basically a note then?

In it's barest form and for something that's most similar, yes.  To my knowledge, journals aren't purged as often as notes enabling you from having to repost for you to draft another copy if it's been too long.  Drafting directly from a journal will remove a step from posting a journal (as you want to make a point of it being a journal entry) AND a note, drafting the note then 'losing' it.  It's making the normal workaround now a more direct thing.

If one is fine with just laying down as a note and drafting that way, then no, it's not needed.

I doubt that Imm's treat notes and journals differently, but they certainly are sorted separately and [i hope] less likely to get lost in the wash.

I don't wash.

We see journals by typing journal list .

Similarly, we can see a characters notes by typing note list .
