Holy hands. Ought to put that on my bucket list.
The hinge is a useful flail. Not sure exactly what them being wounded gravely does, but I would imagine it slows regeneration.

wounded gravely sounds like a thief dagger throw, makes you take small damage every time you move

I was thinking more along the lines of:
Object ' Brain Stem' is type Dagger
hum, mental dmg, socketable
11d4 damage
+10 managain
mana +25
hitroll +3
small "energy drain" effect (chance to leach 1-3% mana from victim)
Rare/unique
Object 'Chain of Prions' is type flail/whip
antineutral, nodrop, nouncurse, invisible, bleed, mental dmg (whatever this flag is)
5d9 damage
Affects Int -2
Affects Con -2
Affects flail/whip +3
Affects second attack +3
Damroll +4
Unique

That's more of what he was wanting to see implemented into the game and not what is actually in the game right now. Considering it would hit Giants vuln more than anything, it's not a bad idea, but I believe your average damage may be a bit high considering they'd hit a mental vuln anyways. Its been around 12 years since I even really knew how to calculate it, but I'd say an average damage of 22 may be reasonable for them either way. I can't recall if Gnomes have a mental vuln or not either though. But it would still be interesting to see it put in.
I think gnomes have both a charm and mental vuln.
For calculating averages, it's #Dice*((dicemax+dicemin)/2). For the MUD, that's rounded down.
So 5d9 is 5*((9+1)/2)=25; 11d4 is 27.5 (27).

Someone fails the reading comprehension test even harder than me.

And yet my reasoning for even visiting the forum dwindles even further.
Cut the drama.

In all fairness, many people probably skip my posts now after I couldn't be succinct. In my argument though, any time I was I just confused people and had to elaborate. I'm not going to knock him for it though. There's very few posts lately, and when there are, there's a huge spurt of them in one topic that leaves even myself wanting to close the window and just play/do homework.

I am sorry that my humorous and light-hearted remark offended you, Ghrundor.
I hope you accept my sincerest apologies.

I don't mind that you're a bit verbose. I'm fairly sure it's already been mentioned, but I think that if you broke down your paragraphs into bite sized blocks, it may be an acceptable compromise.
Ultimately, you write the way you want.
If people don't think it's good enough, screw 'em. They're missing out on a valuable point of view.

I read all your posts :)

"Et tu Brute?" I should begin every post like this then.
@Magick I'm pretty sure f0xx has said that, and I try to do it when I recognize they've begun to become a blob in a paragraph. I don't do it in my classes though. Most write uninformative paragraphs on a reading of Meno or The Republic and it's just over 100 words of why they agree or disagree. If they didn't make it mandatory to have at least two responses to the threads with the least amount of replies, I'd never get a continuing conversation with anyone.
@Unknown Criminal thank you, though I wouldn't be offended if you didn't for reasons stated by a few before. I tend to run off on a tangent on some threads and some points are succinct, but sometimes I revisit them a few lines/paragraphs down.
