Not sure what rank Yaliza is, but remember you are a rogue, so you can strangle if they don't have poison. Force her to cut regen with poison if at all possible either through strangle/smoke or throw.

You can outregen her even without poison because you have cure light/acupuncture. Drow invoker HP regen is atrocious. If you can dance around her and whittle down her HP, she'll soon be the one running. A running invoker is no threat. Take your time in the fights...no need to commit early. That is in the invoker's favor.

You should use magical weapons. If you can find one that does fire damage that a feral can use, you'll punish her fire shield. If she isn't using mana shield (since she has fire up), you should exploit that through weapon selection.

Flee/murder will be much more effective than nerve as a general tactic. The flee has a good chance of evading a fireball and the murder will give you some free rounds and maybe throws. Force her to keep recasting firestorm. You can punish her aggression with decoys. Don't keep returning into a firestorm; make her walk out to you. Remember, time is on your side, so if she doesn't want to chase, you can continue to outregen her.

Even though you are a feral, you should be able to resist fireball/firestorm pretty well, so it looks like your aff saves might be quite low. Don't worry about the saves too much though, because if they get too good, she'll switch to call lightning and have similar output. It will take some management to find a balance between a bad AC (to resist call lightning) and aff/mental saves.

Flame arrow/fire shield are the killers for you. Being feral, remember you have fury, but you have to calculate if that is worth the lag to you. Much more worth it if she is doing the flame arrows. If she does that, keep in mind that she has to see to target you, so you can reduce her output through dirt/flee. The tactics thus vary based on the decisions made.

If you are abducted, make sure you are very comfortable in the new location. Nobody can catch a ninja with vanish, even in a place they can't hide. That won't work well in the area she picked though, so just walk out. She picks that area to prevent recalls and outdoors. The one exit will make fleeing troublesome, as you saw, both in direction and success rate. This can backfire against her, but in the first fight, it will hurt you more (she will outdamage you if played right, so you won't win a straight on first engagement).

You can also fight in an area with big mobs that will punish her fireball/firestorming. Depending on your align/cabal, make use of scrolls and other consumables.

Some kind of client coloring will help you know if you lose sanctuary or other key spells, so you don't make that herb mistake again. I used buttons in my client that toggled and changed colors depending on whether or not I had a buff up. That way you can manage many buffs without typing in game and at a glance.

The main thing is survival. Try not to lag yourself and consider setting up some color triggers so you can see if she dropped sanc (red) or something else.

You can also push her around instead of fleeing -- push is more reliable than fleeing and more likely to confuse the other player. If you fail the push, it is like a free flee into a direction you can choose, so it is a win-win.

It is also useful to push her into big mobs if she is using area spells. She'll think she is safe because the mob is in the next room over. You can also push-lock her into an aggressive mob's room to cause a mobdeath, esp. if the room is cursed and/or single exit.

Pushing into your decoy room is almost a certain decoy hit.

Pushing a blind character is a very good way to disrupt their blind running but is very situational as you usually want to keep doing damage.

As Celerity said, vanish is good but you need to pick your spots.

The area you were abducted to is not safe to vanish in, as it is full of aggressive mobs that will attack you if you appear in their room (unless I am a total newb and vanishing into a mob's room doesn't cause it to auto-attack).

Mali is also correct about letting the lag from one action fade before committing to another action. If, after dirt kicking, you get your sanctuary dispelled you definitely don't want to have already spammed nerve, you could eat 2-3 unsanced hellstreams or fireballs. Spamming is the second biggest killer in FL.

P.S The biggest killer in FL is rage/bodyslam.

Probably can't vanish around in the keep since those are all cursed rooms. You can vanish into aggressive mobs which will attack you. Most big mobs are in cursed rooms so you can't vanish in or out of such rooms. Vanish is great for skipping large areas but it can be dangerous to do. Combined with push (causes mobs to stop chasing you), you can get around very quickly.

Fury is your best friend.  You are a Feral after all.  Especially when you are fighting mages.  Then dirt kick.

 

I was ready to go when you got abducted.  You were not.  Once this happened you should have tried to push, get your barrings and then decide if you wanted to continue.

 

Never spam spells hit the comman.  Wait to see what happening.  Decide if you want to use a new command.

 

I know its easier said then done when in the heat of battle.  Nerves.  Jittery fingers.  Just know that its not just you.  Even vets make the same misake.

I haven't red what everyone else has said so far, so I might repeat few of the things. Here are my advises:

1. You got abducted. Priority number one when you get abducted is to identify the area that you got abducted to. If you can not identify it, then get the f* out of there. The two most common abduction areas are the Keep bellow Everwild and the Bathhouse. Try to learn them.

2. Using nerve against an invoker is a waste of time. Nerve is to be used only against melees, and even then, I wouldn't rely much on it, since people have a good surplus of STR.

3. You can break HER (sorry, Yaliza will always be a female in my eyes) firestorm by using push.

4. If you want to escape someone, dirting them and THEN fleeing is your safest course.

Try to learn how to run from everywhere to the 3 big cities. Print their maps to be easier to visualize the area and while you are inexperienced, if you get attacked run to them. If you fight a mage, like everyone said, fury fury fury. So that you get breathing space for your mistakes.

 

Also become friends with warmasters and start challenging them for practice.

You lost the fight because you never used fury and caltraps. Nothing else.
