After that I got tired of being tripped by pets so ran to get seaweed and when  returned he had gone.  So close at the end here and between this fight and fighting Ilthrias, Rilithin really helped me become a better warrior.   Good fights.

I know this is old, and these characters arent around but theres some good advice below I think:

 

 

For the ranger:

 

We can't tell what shield your are wearing as the warrior so I dont know if it can be disarmed but he should of disarmed that straight away. 

 

An archer ranger should be able to RAPE an ogre Warrior. Start with poison, vorpal, magic/flame and end with diseased arrows ==> basically any time he is fleeing for his life disease him. Plague will kill his MV regen. Flame arrows, if they get off the fire breath, are awesome for ranger to out think a warrior. 

 

Look at throwing a thunder storm in there now and then, will help start wearing him down. Once he starts getting worn think about chasing with diseased arrows. Get magic arrows, Get magic arrows.

 

Insect swarm - this would of made a big difference to any of the interactions/battles.

 

 

 

 

Warrior:

 

Venom sack + bash

Dont fight without flight (duh)

 

Sometimes just aim the beasts, he wasn't doing that much damage with your main damage output coming from call void - might as well kill those beasts off straight away - Rangers don't make good warriors.

Rangers dont get shield disarm and shield warriors turn arrows

Brimstone shield from cabal.  Is nodrop I believe.

 

Displacer beasts can disarm shields.

No, they are not.

How one plays his character is a matter of skill though.
