Locked RP rewards log

I think it would be nice to implement a system that keeps track of the RP you are being rewarded and the reason.

command

  1. You've been awarder 6 RP a log with Sylf, submitted by you.

  2. You've been awarded 8 RP for your Journal entry "Manboobs"

  3. You've been awarded 3 RP a log Ilthrias, submitted by Ilthrias.

  4. You've been punished -10 RP for breach of RP.

This way you can keep track of your RP "income" and whether the IMMs have missed rewarding you with RP for something you've submitted.

This is already implemented for Immortals eyes, only. Whether everyone else should see it is really up to the staff (not just me).

As for logs posted, notes and journal entries, you can ask in prayer if you feel you have not been rewarded, they will let you know where you stand.

(Note, friendly undertones are suggested)

Bump.

yeah, I see this along the lines of being able to read a list of quests your character has completed. so, as far as the character info... don't see why a player shouldn't be privy.

the only issue that might arise comes from players that start questioning the Imms that award the rp points... e.g. "Why didn't I get more rp points for such-n-such rp?" (not saying a player that is particularly concerned with something doesn't have a right to inquire, but that could, even if marginally, slow the process down for other things the Imm's have to take care of too)

I could see how a long lived character might get spammed with a considerable amount of info. lol

Both the spam and the questioning are issues we considered, thus the decision to make this list Imm only. Even as it is now, we ALWAYS end up having a long discussion if we give a negative reward, even if this is just a small one like 3-4 points.

I do not see that we will change how this works at this time.

People will always question penalties. That's a completely different subject though.

I simply want to be aware what RPs I've been awarded for what.

For example I sometimes have a journal entry and an RP log submitted. I log out. Next time I log in I see my RPs have risen by 8. Now are those RPs for the journal entry, for the log or for both? I mean no offence, but we know how busy the IMM job is and its easy to forget a log. This is simply a way to make players "remind" the staff about their submitted logs without it feeling like begging.

I couldn't care less about seeing what rewards I've gotten for what and when.  If I did, perhaps I'd submit RP logs to prayer and so on.  But I'll reiterate that I'm lazy.  I'd be curious on condeath though, but again not critical and I digress.

That aside, what about an echo on login much like when you lose cabal points when you're not online?  I see it as a potential middle ground between knowing that RPs were given but unsure if everything submitted was viewed and actively viewing a list of previous achievements.

1000 gold has been withdrawn from your bank to cover locker costs.  783500 gold left. You feel a divine presence guide you to new found experiences! You earn 5 rp points! You earn 4 rp points!

This particular way you see that RPs were given and how many times in case of multiple offline submissions, the latter of which I think the root of the suggestion.

the latter of which I think the root of the suggestion.

No, it's not.

That wouldn't help for stuff like

award xxx rp 9 prayer log & journal on same subject

No, it's not.

Meh.

Eh. It was worth a shot.

Thank you.

PS. It would be great to have the date display [day:month:year] instead of [month:day:year]. Americanos

Sheesh.  Give 'em an inch and they take a mile.

Translation for you, Foxx:

Give 'em 2.54cm and they take 1.609 km.

True story.

You Americans and your special units are driving me crazy. It' SI in the whole world guys! Astonishing you don't have your special time measuring units to make things more complicated.

Bob is .. feet ??? inches tall -> google  -> ? m

and ... old ?

LOL

The whole SI argument is fun as there's so many inconsistencies across the board (look at the UK for example), even in some countries that use it as their primary.

But this.  The time one.  That was the French when they tried to decimalize that, too.  Here we are, 200 years later and the world is still on a 24 hour day.

The other systems were obsolete.

You're welcome.

There's only two kinds of countries in the world, those who use the metric system, and those who've landed on the moon.
