I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on Crusaders, and the possibility of perhaps 'specializing' in either a 2 handed sader, or a shield sader. Without delving too much into their skill set, I realize that the amount of work required to implement may be far more rigorous than what it's worth. In the off chance it's not, though, what are your all's opinions? Choosing between a fearsome, armored knight rushing at you with an oversized, incredibly gruesome looking weapon, or a hulking mass of metal, standing strong behind a humongous tower shield, poised and ready to react to your first move, a war axe brandished in his opposing hand?
An idea for Crusaders
Most of their skills actually require a two handed weapon to work and I dont think giving them the option to use a shield would do anything except add extra work.
Even if they made a whole bunch of skills for shield saders, I'd be more in favour of giving those skills to shield warriors.
Besides, somewhere in the crusader description it says something about forgoing defenses because of their fortified armor, so their reasoning for not using shields is that their armor is basically a big shield.
Good point.
I thought they just had balls made of starstone and didn't hide behind shields.
