I remember a long time ago a Imm saying that Invokers should get a different form of sanctuary since they are not priests.
It makes sense for them to have the skill due to their frailty, but not as sanctuary.
I suggest a blue aura.

Probably a nightmare to code, even if you just make Sanctuary spell give blue color for Invokers.

as far as nitpicking goes, I used to think that Sanctuary should be a communer specific spell and something of a different name, but similar, should be for casters/staves/wands/potions. of course, that was when I was of the mind-set to compare FL to D&D. even though it is based on D&D, I would rather think of FL as its own entity wholly unique unto itself. so, whenever/wherever possible, I would prefer that FL rename any specific references to D&D, Fantasy Novels, etc.
in this case, sanctuary to FL is clearly one specific spell that provides the same function to everyone... if we were going to make the distinction between communer/caster spells... I wouldn't have a problem so long as we were making something unique for FL... something like renaming it to do-away with the D&D connotation that comes with a spell called "sanctuary"
to be honest, I think it would be great if communers and casters didn't share any spells... 'cause I've always thought communers made prayers and these prayers, even if of a similar nature, would be different in many ways from spells... of course, it's something that would be "nice" aesthetically to some, but, overall, not a necessity... not to mention, making all those changes would be really time consuming. oh, but a girl can dream Mya! so, we can keep on dreamin'.
