Additional pet from the Bazaar

Small suggestion, but for RP purposes for the drow race (selfish, maybe) perhaps add a spider?

Drider would be ore fitting  think.

Depending on where you get your information for Drider from... definitely not.

To be made a Drider is to be marked as a failure by Lloth. She does this to drow that have disappointed her in some fashion, as it destroys the image of personal beauty which each drow attempts to forge. So what kind of drow would want a Drider, a sign of failure, as its servant? The spider is more elegant, more fitting of the mottos which Lloth passes to her children. It is patient, it does not act in a way that brings attention to itself. When capturing prey, it leads the prey to trap itself and fall to desperation, rather than an all out assault. That is the embodiment of what Lloth teaches her children, and it is why they are all but worshiped by the drow.

I understand that there has been at least 1 drider character that has been RPed as a favorite of Lloth, so that might be different here.

I think that one drider character, was actually made a drider because of their failure to fully bring Lloth to Aabahran... of course, I could be mistaken.

Arachnophiles now have a special pet available for purchase in the Bazaar.

In addition, you can now read Herald books and purchase learning sessions from the Bazaar's library.

Are Arachnophiles = Drow?

And what do you mean "learning sessions" do you mean for learning languages?

Arachnophile = spider lover, I think.

I didn't understand that part about learning sessions either.

perhaps, for those not in a Cabal, the pets could/do provide some much needed backup... however, should a character join a Cabal and still have a pet from the Bazaar, where/when applicable, could these pets be used as a mount? having a pet to rp with is nice, but a little functionality that's not "overpowering" would be cool. just a thought.

learning sessions?! well... it's time to learn something.

I am just wondering if these items being so expensive are or are going to be owner only as they are very expensive, (they very well could be already  am unsure as  am a sucky rper and will take me forever to get any of these things).  I already noticed through browse that some of the pendants (which are expensive as well) are burnproof and some are not, too overpriced for a hellstream to explode IMO.

On a side note the area and items were very creative and I think is an awesome addition to our world here, cant wait to actually earn some points and try them out.

What we are PLANNING:

  • pendants, they should all be oowner and burnproof. If they are not it is an oversight, please post on prayer.

The pendants will most likly eventually be upgrade-able (which will cost rp points again) to have some other properties.

  • pets with pk hooomf:

This will most likly be included as one upgrade for uncaballed people only. We're still discussing the details on how this will work exactly however, so this will take a bit.

pendants = awesome! being able to upgrade them as well is very cool.

pets with pk hooomf = great for uncaballed peeps. really like that! maybe another upgrade could be making the pet mountable (for anyone)? don't know why I became obsessed with being able to call a mount... lol but, it would be cool!

Mounts with and without pk viability are on the way, pretty much exactly as you described. We're working on the logistics.

By learning sessions I mean the 'points' needed to learn languages.

Foxx is correct, at least as to my intentions. I'm fairly sure the suffix -phile roughly translates to lover

Correct on both counts.  The suffix -phile does mean "lover," though it can also mean "friend" or "enthusiast of".  So Arachnophile would be "spider lover" or "lover of spiders".  Something else to think about when you hear the word "pedophile" and how word can evolve over time both for the better and worse.
